2007 Plant Some Shade Project
Every year for the past 4 years, Sioux Rivers RC&D has been helping administer the residential tree planting program, sponsored by MidAmerican Energy and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. This program offers trees to Iowa Mid-American Energy customers in Woodbury, Plymouth, Ida, Monona and Cherokee counties at a cost of $25 per tree with a limit of 2 trees per household. Sioux Rivers RC&D had an excellent response to the tree sales at our booth set up at the 2007 Siouxland Flower, Lawn & Garden Show in Sergeant Bluff. Sioux Rivers RC&D is considering having a booth next year at the 2008 Siouxland Garden Show on March 14 & 15th, 2008, at the Marina Center, 5th and B Streets, South Sioux City, Nebraska. Please watch for our Annual Plant Some Shade Project tree sales in March or April of 2008. We will be posting an Order Form online to order trees as soon as they are available.
